Hoya pachyclada variegata
HK$238.00
Available to order
The name is a giveaway: pachyclada — thick branches. And Hoya pachyclada is indeed built differently from most of its genus: thicker, more structural, with leaves so fleshy and substantial they approach succulent territory. The plant feels architectural in a way that more delicate Hoyas don’t. The ‘Variegata’ form adds warm cream variegation to those already striking leaves — a wash of pale gold against deep green that shifts with each new leaf, making every growth cycle a small event.
Native to Thailand, it brings the same drought-tolerance and undemanding character that makes Thai Hoyas so popular among collectors who want high visual impact without constant management. White star flowers with a pink-red corona are the traditional Hoya reward at the end of a long wait. Worth every bit of it.

Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light — more light keeps the variegation vivid and encourages blooming.
- Watering: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Among the more drought-tolerant Hoyas — slightly under-watering is far safer than over.
- Humidity: 50–70%. More adaptable to lower humidity than many tropical Hoyas.
- Temperature: 18–30°C. Appreciates warmth; protect from cold.
- Soil: Very well-draining; chunky perlite-heavy mix or cactus blend.
- Flowering: White star flowers with a pink/red corona. Keep old spurs — blooms return to the same point each season.
