PLANTJAI · PLANT LAB
Anthurium in our Causeway Bay plant lab
A rainforest corner in the city — where we raise anthuriums from seed, hybridise, and talk plants with friends who are just starting out or already deep into the hobby.

01
A rainforest corner for looking and asking
About three minutes from Times Square. Walk in when you like. Beginners and collectors share the same space — explore, compare leaves, and take your time. No rush.
02
What we do in the lab
We grow anthuriums from seed and work on our own hybrids — years of raising plants, on the order of ten thousand plants through the nursery, and dozens of our crosses. That includes rarer species forms and variegated lines (including Thai variegated directions). Photos and listings online are still being organised; the showroom is often the best place to look together.
03
Rare forms, variegation, and curiosity
Bring questions. We like identifying forms, comparing veins and colour breaks, and sharing what we have learned from growing — not a lecture, a conversation.
04
Hong Kong indoor notes
Bright indirect light, steady moisture without waterlogging, and airy media help most anthuriums at home. Every plant on the shop has light and watering specs; ask us if your flat is especially dry from air-con.
05
More than anthuriums
The same shop holds easy starters, a wide philodendron range with care notes, trendy caudex (about twenty to thirty kinds), larger foliage, and we also take corporate and project greening conversations — garden rebuilds and living walls will get their own pages with case photos later.

Field notes from the plant lab
Photographed in our Causeway Bay space. The first eight are the original lab archive; the next eight are newer leaf observations — not stock promises or formal cultivar identifications.
