When caring for arrowroot, please pay attention to the following:
- Light: Arrowroot prefers moderate to bright indirect light and avoids direct sunlight.
- Watering: Keep the arrowroot soil surface dry before watering adequately, but avoid overwatering.
- Water quality: Avoid watering with tap water that contains high levels of salt, chlorine, chloramines, bromide, or fluoride, preferably filtered, distilled, or dehumidifier-collected water sources.
- Soil: Nutrient-rich and well-drained cultured soils are used, with a choice of coconut fibre or peat-based soil blends.
- Temperature: Arrowroot prefers a warm environment, with a room temperature between 18 and 29 degrees Celsius.
- Humidity: Arrowroot requires a high humidity environment and can be placed in the kitchen, bathroom, or an area with extra moisture, and humidity can be increased using a humidifier or water stone tray.
- Fertilizer: Fertilize moderately during the growing season, either by using a diluted full liquid fertilizer, or by adding seaweed or fish fertilizer when changing pots.
- Pet safety: arrowroot is non-toxic and safe for pets.
