Plantjai journey
PLANTJAI · FIELD LOG
How Plantjai changed shape
From temporary pop-ups to a Causeway Bay plant lab you can walk into — a short log of how we meet plants and people, with real photos from the road.

01
A pop-up table inside Taikoo Eslite
In March 2024 we set up a temporary plantjai table at Eslite Bookstore in Taikoo Shing — navy cloth, labelled pots, and plants you could look at slowly between bookshelves. It was still a pop-up: meet people where they already walk, then pack down at the end of the day.
02
A fixed floor, not only a weekend table
The next step was a lasting address: 4/F, 39 Yiu Wa Street, Causeway Bay — about three minutes from Times Square. Walk-in hours, WhatsApp, and a room where beginners and collectors can compare leaves without rushing.
03
Observation, breeding notes, and an online shelf
Today the same brand runs as an urban plant lab: seed-grown anthuriums and hybrids, care notes online, and stock that still lives best when you see it in person. The Eslite photos stay as a field record — proof we started by going to people before they came to us.
