Hoya Heuschkeliana Variegata
HK$168.00
Available to order
In a genus celebrated for its star-shaped flowers, Hoya heuschkeliana ‘Variegata’ does something completely different: its blooms are tubular and urn-shaped — tiny hanging lanterns in yellow or pink-red that look like nothing else in the Hoya world. It is a species that rewards collectors who look closely and appreciate botanical variety not just for its rarity, but for what it reveals about how endlessly inventive this genus actually is.
A Philippine species, heuschkeliana pairs those extraordinary flowers with cream-and-green variegated foliage of its own. The leaf pattern alone would make it worth growing; the flowers make it genuinely special. One of the more unusual members of a genus already full of surprises.

Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light — key for both maintaining the variegation and encouraging those distinctive blooms.
- Watering: Let soil dry between waterings. Standard Hoya practice — err toward dry.
- Humidity: 60–70%, reflecting its Philippine origins. Consistent humidity encourages better growth.
- Temperature: 18–28°C. Warmth preferred; protect from cold and draughts.
- Soil: Well-draining Hoya mix — chunky and airy rather than dense.
- Flowering: The tubular, urn-shaped flowers are the headline. Keep old flower spurs — blooms return to the same point each season.
