Hoya clemensiorum
Specimen IDPJ-HOYAHOYA7086
HK$538.00
For collectors who seek Hoyas with genuine botanical provenance, Hoya clemensiorum arrives with excellent credentials. Native to the rainforests of Borneo — that extraordinary island of biodiversity that has given the plant world some of its most remarkable species — it carries a sense of place that more ubiquitous Hoyas simply cannot match. The leaves are substantial and waxy, and the flowers, when they come, have the intricate, star-shaped beauty the genus is celebrated for.
A relatively uncommon species in cultivation, which is part of the appeal. It grows steadily with standard Hoya care, and the combination of Bornean origin and comparative rarity makes it a meaningful addition to any serious collection. One of those plants where patience is genuinely rewarded.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Adapts to moderate light but grows and blooms better in brighter conditions.
- Watering: Let soil dry between waterings. Like all Hoyas — overwatering is the main risk.
- Humidity: 60–70% preferred, reflecting the humid forest conditions of its origin.
- Temperature: 18–28°C. Prefers consistent warmth.
- Soil: Well-draining Hoya or aroid mix — chunky and airy is better than dense and moisture-retentive.
