Hoya kentiana variegated

Among the more elegant members of a famously varied genus, Hoya kentiana ‘Variegated’ brings two things that are difficult to resist together: the slender, strap-like leaves that make the straight species a collector favourite, and a warm cream-and-green variegation along the margins that transforms each leaf into something considerably more interesting. Long and willowy, the stems trail and climb beautifully — at their best in a hanging planter where they can reach their full, graceful length.

Like most Hoyas, it is more tolerant of neglect than you might expect, and once settled in grows reliably and eventually blooms. The variegation shifts subtly with light levels — brighter conditions tend to sharpen the contrast between the cream margins and the deeper green centre.
