Hoya wayetii

There is something quietly seductive about Hoya wayetii. Those long, narrow leaves — like slender dark paddles — catch the eye first. Then you notice the margins: in brighter light they blush a deep burgundy-maroon along the edges, turning each leaf into a two-tone composition. A plant that changes with the seasons and rewards a sunny windowsill in ways you do not expect.

One of the faster-growing Hoyas, wayetii quickly builds full, trailing stems that look brilliant cascading from a shelf or hanging basket. The flower clusters are a bonus — clusters of small pink blooms that appear generously once the plant is properly established. Easy-going, beautiful, and near-impossible to kill if you resist overwatering.
