Hoya parasitica variegata
HK$128.00
Available to order
Hoya parasitica variegata — already known for its cascading, leathery leaves, the variegated form takes things to another level with bold cream-and-green patterning that makes each leaf look hand-painted.
Unlike many variegated plants that demand coddling, this Hoya is genuinely tough. Native to tropical Asia, it grows epiphytically on tree branches where it gets dappled light, good airflow, and irregular watering — conditions it will happily take in your home. The waxy star-shaped flowers that appear in clusters are a bonus: softly fragrant and almost too perfect to be real.

Care Guide
- Light: Bright indirect light. The variegation is most vibrant with a couple of hours of gentle morning sun. Avoid harsh direct sun which can scorch the lighter leaf portions.
- Watering: Let the mix dry out 50–70% between waterings. Don’t stress variegated sections with waterlogged soil.
- Humidity: 50–70%. Tolerates average indoor humidity but thrives with a little extra.
- Temperature: 18–28°C (65–82°F). No cold drafts.
- Soil: Fast-draining epiphytic mix — orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir.
- Support: Provide a trellis or let it trail from a hanging basket. Both look stunning.
