Anthurium clarvigerum

Anthurium clarvigerum  It is native to Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, and Brazil in northwestern South America, and is more common at low altitudes. Its most obvious feature is that each petiole produces several long, narrow leaves, which look like a snowflake. It grows in relatively warm and humid places, so the weather in Hong Kong is suitable for them to grow most of the time, and they will grow well in a bright indoor environment. Of course, if the weather is dry in winter/the air-conditioner is on for a long time, you should pay attention to the air humidity, if it is too low for a long time, there is a chance of blazing. As a whole, snowflakes and candles are easy to grow in Hong Kong.

Care instructions

Light requirements: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Place the plant near a window or use grow lights.

Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 18°C and 27°C (65°F to 80°F).

Humidity: Prefers high humidity. If the humidity is low, you can place the plant near a humidifier.

Watering: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Avoid overwatering and allowing the plant to sit in standing water to prevent root rot.

Soil: Requires well-draining soil. A mix of peat moss, perlite, and coarse sand or bark is recommended.

Fertilizer: During the growing season (spring and summer), use a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly or slow-release fertilizer every three months. Avoid fertilizing during the winter dormancy period.
