Most Hoyas arrange their leaves in alternating or opposite pairs. Hoya verticillata ‘Yangzhi’ Albomarginata does something more unusual: its leaves emerge in whorls — three or four radiating outward at each node in a circular arrangement that gives the stems a distinctly architectural, sculptural quality. The Yangzhi cultivar adds a crisp white margin around each leaf, turning what is already a structurally distinctive plant into something visually refined as well.
