Begonia 'Down Home'
HK$198.00
Available to order
There is something immediately likeable about the name — Begonia ‘Down Home’ promises a plant that is comfortable, unpretentious, and full of warmth. It delivers on all counts. This cane Begonia grows with the easy generosity that makes the group so enduringly popular: graceful angel-wing foliage, a freely branching habit, and a willingness to bloom that doesn’t ask for specialist conditions or constant attention.
A plant that looks right anywhere — a bright windowsill, a shaded corner of a balcony, a generous pot on a covered terrace. Down Home rewards regular feeding with a steady succession of pendant flower clusters through the season, and remains handsome even when not in bloom. A genuinely good-natured plant, true to its name.

Care Guide
- Light: Warm, bright indirect light — near a window, away from harsh midday sun.
- Watering: Keep soil evenly moist. Let the top inch dry slightly before watering. Never waterlog.
- Humidity: Moderate to high humidity preferred. Avoid misting the leaves directly — use a pebble tray.
- Temperature: 18–28°C. Shelter from cold and heavy rain.
- Soil: Rich, well-draining potting mix. Slightly acidic pH is ideal.
- Feeding: Balanced liquid fertiliser every 2–3 weeks during the growing season keeps the blooms coming.
